Let's See What The Ex Is Up To?

Checking up on a lost love, a disgusting neighbor or even your boss is now made easy by accessing the Wisconsin Circuit Court Website.

Warning: This can be addictive!

NOTE: I realize this is tasteless, but I was dared to put this up by Phil the truckdriver. Actually, this was his idea. It seemed like a good idea at the time. We shall see.....

As some of you may already know, I have an ex-wife. I have an ex-wife for a reason. To make a long story short---a very long story short---she can't seem to stay out of trouble.

Now I realize it's easy to make claims and lay the blame for a failed marriage at the other spouse's feet, but in this case it is entirely true. Take a look for yourself and you can decide if I made the right decision to cut her loose or not.

To respect her privacy, her name and case numbers have been covered because I know some of you clever people could find her identity if you really wanted to. Heck, there might be enough information on the page for you to find out anyway. Oh well.

Now that you've taken a peek, let me direct your attention to the seventh entry from the bottom dated 11/21/1997. As you may be able to deduce, this one is me filing for divorce. I put up with 6 previous brushes with the law before pulling the trigger (figuratively speaking) on divorce proceedings. I think I was more than tolerant up to that point, don't you agree?

Most of her offenses stem from her 4 or 5 (I lost count) DUI convictions. There's your driving after revocation, driving without proper registration, driving without a valid license and even a prowling charge tossed in for good measure.

Note the entry for 08/09/2004. This is the bank foreclosing on her house. See what happens when you drink and drive and can't afford to pay your hefty fines and a mortgage payment at the same time?

A further examination of the data shows that the ex did manage to keep herself out of trouble for three of the past 10 years: '96, '99, and 2000 for a law-abiding percentage of 30%.

The conclusion is irrefutable: She is a trouble maker.
