Trip Planning

Once I'm able to figure out who's all going the real planning will start to take shape. Lodging arrangements will have to be made when the roster is filled out and some new meals concocted.

A Planning Chronology
4/17/10 Bought a Bear Vault 500 and a dry bag for the trip.  Also found out that Reed is able to come along which saves me the trouble of having to break in 3 new guys by myself.
3/14/10 Getting close to making the motel reservation and my bear canister and spray are in a shopping cart at Hermits Hut.
3/8/10 Picked  up a new piece of gear today.  Drove home a new Rav4. I splurged and went with the 269 horsepower V6.  My days of struggling up mountains in the trusty Santa Fe are over
1/7/10 I'm thinking the unthinkable:  purchasing a bear canister.
1/3/10 Double Cabin informs me that we could spend the night we get off the trail at the Absaroka Ranch.  Sweet.
12/29 Reed informs me there's a chance he could make the trip (It's a wife thing).
12/27 Lee from Oshkosh is in. Figured out a new route which is stellar, IMHO
12/25

for the first time in years I did not recieve a backpacking related gift at Christmas

12/24 Teton-Washakie Wilderness Falcon guide arrives
12/23 Guidebook finally arrived in mail today.  Started working on trip report web pages so that it's ready to go upon our return
12/21 Tye is out
12/15 Steve from California is in
12/14 Steve from California offered a spot in the lineup
12/6 Make contact with John "Double Cabin" from Dubois and the backpacker.com message boards.  Looking to him for some long-time insider knowledge of the Teton Wilderness
12/5 Canada, Reed most likely out
12/2 e-mails out to previous members requesting an RSVP by the end of the year
9/30 Teton wilderness map arrives
6/28 Pondering a destination for 2010.  Intriged by the Teton  and/or Washakie Wilderness areas but am also considering the Winds and a 3rd straight trip to the Absaroka+Beartooth Wilderness as well.
2/25 Bob is officially in for whatever destination is decided upon
