Final Thoughts

The Bighorns and Cloud Peak Wilderness area exceeded my expectations in every way. Much more beautiful than I remember seeing as a young teen, this gem in the middle of the dusty prairie is a place I would very much like to return someday.

Not only were the mountains gorgeous, but the people of Wyoming are the friendliest I've ever encountered. Young children would hold the door open for me at gas stations! That says a lot about their upbringing.

I'd like to thank what I guess I have to call the Jones Family who I shared an awesome dinner with upon my arrival at the Boulder Park Campground. You guys were great and made my trip. I'll bet we meet again someday.

Below is a photo I stitched together looking at Mistymoon Lake from the western shore. This is what I'll remember from Cloud Peak, not the exertion, shortness of breath or achy knees.
