| Yikes! Getting home is going
to be expensive. |
I slept like a baby and didn't
wake up until 5 AM. I didn't bother with breakfast and was
back on the road within 5 minutes. I mentally calculated
that I might not get home until 10 PM which pissed me off
further.
I eventually made up for lost time
by exceeding the posted speed limits by 10 mph and recalculated
my ETA to be 9 PM. I made it back to Wisconsin without incident
at 4:45 and to Wausau by 7:00. Now the tricky part of avoiding
Wisconsin's stupid deer began as it was now dusk and I was
in prime deer country.
Alas, I made it unscathed through
Shawano and was soon speeding home on I-43. At 9:05 I pulled
up into my driveway thankful for the safe pasage back home.
A great trip was now in the books.
