There's no way I could go two years in a row without making
it out to Glacier which is why Yumi and I will be heading
back out to our favorite place in August of 2007.
Our trip to the Winds hammered Yumi pretty good. I think
she was expecting a hike more like Glacier and less like
a wilderness area. I know she missed the outhouses and community
food prep areas at Glacier's backcounty campgrounds. I also
know she likes taking a shower more than once every 6 days.
We're tentatively planning to do 5 nights in the backcountry
and another three car camping throughout the park and day
hiking a few of the places we haven't yet seen.
Now the process of putting it all together begins once
again. The most difficult aspect of planning a trip to Glacier
is figuring out what to do and what to see.
Due to trail closures over the years we haven't made it
up to the Ptarmigan Tunnel, Grinell Glacier, Piegan Pass
or Scenic Point. we hope to get to at least two of these
this time.
With that in mind I think I put together the perfect plan
for this trip...

Yumi's fairly excited to go back, but I still haven't
