Trip Itinerary
This is what we actually did and saw.
| July 14 |
Departed home (Manitowoc) at 11:45 AM. Drove through the night |
| July 15 | Stopped at Rock Springs, WY, KOA for shower.Continued north to Big Sandy Opening. Began hike passing Meeks Lake, Divide Lake and camping at MIrror Lake. |
| July 16 | Continued hiking passing Dads Lake, Marms Lake, Skull Lake, Maes Lake and the Twin Lakes near Hailey Pass. Camped at lower Twin Lake. |
| July 17 | Climbed Hailey Pass, crossing the CD, down to Grave Lake and over to the South Fork of the Little Wind River. |
| July 18 | Passed Washakie and Macon Lakes before climbing Washakie Pass. Crossed the CD and camped at Skull Lake. |
| July 19 | Dayhiked from Skull Lake tp Pyramid Lake passing Maes Lake. Broke camp and hiked south passing Marms Lake and camping at Dads Lake. |
| July 20 | Hiked out to Big Sandy opening passing Mirror Lake and Meeks Lake. Drove to Pinedale. Lunch at the Cafe on Pine. Laundry, grocery shopping, checked e-mail at Pinedale Public Library. Dinner at the Pitchfork Fondue with friend Pauline. Spent night at Teton Court Hotel. |
| July 21 | To Elkhart Park trailhead. Began hiking to Titcomb/Indian Basins on Pole Creek Trail passing Photographers Point, Eklund and Barbara Lakes before camping at Hobbs Lake. |
| July 22 | Hiked to lake 10,467 past Seneca, Little Seneca and Island Lakes. |
| July 23 | Dayhiked 12 mile round trip from Lake 10,467 to Indian Pass. Dayhiked 3 mile round trip into Titcomb Basin. |
| July 24 | Hiked from Lake 10,467 to Elkhart Park the way we came in. Dinner at the Cafe on Pine. Spent night at Log Cabin Motel. |
| July 25 | Drove from Pinedale to Yellowstone National Park stopping briefly at Grand Teton National Park. Visitied Old Faithful and Kepler Cascade. Camped at Lewis Lake CG. |
| July 26 | Touron day at YNP visiting Upper Falls, Caltardy Rapids, Undine Falls, Tower Falls, Mammoth Hot Springs, Norris Basin and Petrified Tree. Dinner at Pedalinos at Gardiner, MT. Camped at Slough Creek CG. |
| July 27 | Began drive home via Chief Joseph Highway. Lunch at West Tensleep Creek near the Cloud Peak Wilderness. Continued over Powder River Pass in the Bighorns. Stopped to sleep in truck at Lake Wilson, MN. |
| July 28 | Complete journey home, arriving at 11:50 AM |
