Wisconsin Dells, 2003

What could be more "Wisconsin" than to head to the Dells for a weekend of waterparks, tourist traps and the Wisconsin River?

We were forced to take two vehicles due to my mother coming along, which gave me an opportunity to blast my favorite music as loud as I wanted to. Cool.

The first night would be spent at the Kalahari Resort. The kids immediately wanted to get to the giant indoor waterpark and did just that. A good time was had by all---even grandma.

The next day we took a boat ride and toured the upper Dells. It was a hot day, but the ride cooled us down. I was amazed at some of the narrow ravines that dotted the landscape. Unfortunately, they all seemed to lead to a snack bar and souvineir shops.

After the river tour, we checked into our condo at the Wilderness Resort and spent most of our time playing in their waterpark for the next two days.

I wish I had some better photos of this trip, but most are either of our accomodations and the Wisconsin River/Upper Dells. Next time I'll try to do better.
